Ah Beng’s love

Ah Beng wrote to his former girlfriend.

Dear Ah Lian,

I could not sleep well ever since we broke off our engagement. It is all my fault. You are the world to me. I don’t know how am I going to live on without you. Think of all the wonderful things we had and the dreams we could realize together. You are my love, my sweet, my dreams of dreams.

You are everything I ever wanted in my life. Please forgive me and let us get back together again like before.

Lesson- This is conditional love. There is a string attached to the love. True love is one which is manifested even though the party being loved is unworthy, ugly, weak and undeserving. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ” (John 3:16).
