Mr Richard D Stanley, CEO of DBS Bank succumed to leukemia

Our local DBS Bank CEO Mr Richard D Stanley succumed to complications of leukemia today. He was 48 years old.

Mr Richard Stanley joined DBS bank in May 2008 but was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia early this year. Just a couple of days ago, I read that he was doing well and was on track to return to work.

I feel sad to hear of this bad news. It just reminds us that life is very fragile and our stay on this earth is really short and transient.

James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
James 4: 14Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4: 15 For that ye [ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
