Tags: Hymn, pass me not o gentle saviour
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! who took on flesh
Fulness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied -
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine -
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

I have a good friend who is a Jew. He has the most beautiful name in the whole wide universe.
His name is Jesus! He will never fail you nor forsake you.
1. What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
2. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
3. Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield thee; thou wilt find a solace there.

The River (Brian Doerksen)
To the river I am going, bringing sins I cannot bear,
Come and cleanse me, come forgive me,
Lord, I need to meet You there.
In these waters, healing mercy flows with freedom from despair,
I am going to that river, Lord; I need to meet You there.
Chorus
Precious Jesus, I am ready to surrender every care,
Take my heart now, lead me closer,
Lord, I need to meet You there.
To the river, I am going bringing sins I cannot bear,
Come and cleanse me, come forgive me,
Lord I need to meet You there.
In these waters, healing mercy flows with freedom from despair,
I am going to that river, Lord, I need to meet You there.
Chorus
Precious Jesus, I am ready to surrender every care,
Take my heart now, lead me closer,
Lord, I need to meet You there,
Come and join us in the river, come find life beyond compare,
He is calling, He is waiting, Jesus longs to meet you there
He is calling, He is waiting, Jesus longs to meet you there.
Chorus
Precious Jesus, I am ready to surrender every care,
Take my heart now, lead me closer,
Lord, I need to meet You there.
Take my heart now, lead me closer,
Lord, I need to meet You there,

In The Sweet By And By – by Sanford F. Bennett
Also known as “There is a land that is fairer than day”
There’s a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.
Refrain:
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.
To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain’s new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God’s recreation of the new day
It only takes a spark to get a fire going.
And soon all those around, can warm up in glowing.
That’s how it is with God’s love,
Once you’ve experienced it, you spread His love to everyone;
You want to pass it on.
What a wondrous time is spring, when all the trees are budding;
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming.
That’s how it is with God’s love;
Once you’ve experienced it, you want to sing
“It’s fresh like spring”; you want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend, this happiness that I’ve found.
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you’re bound.
I’ll shout it from the mountain top – PRAISE GOD
I want the world to know; the Lord of love has come to me,
I want to pass it on.
